The vibe

Wendlandt, the Ensenada brewery, brings its taps to Cacho with this Tijuana tasting room; San Diego Magazine recommends the neighborhood for its cafés and bars. The room is on Calle Querétaro in Colonia Madero, in the same neighborhood as the cocktail bar Minimal. Atly’s review roundup describes a compact indoor room and a rooftop terrace, with an electronic and indie soundtrack. When we checked on Oct. 17, 2026, its online menu still showed a special second-anniversary food menu for Friday, Oct. 16.

The beer

The brewery started selling beer on April 20, 2012, and moved to El Sauzal, in Ensenada, in 2013, according to its website. In 2019 it won the best-large-brewery award at a national beer competition in Mexico City, its second win in that category after 2015, Mexico News Daily reported, naming Eugenio Romero as its founder. The brewery’s awards list includes World Beer Cup medals for Foca Parlante, its stout, in 2023 and 2024.

The Tijuana menu we checked lists the core lineup at 100 pesos each: Perro del Mar Lite (lite IPA), Veraniega (Mexican ale), Vaquita Marina (pale ale), Harry Polanco (red ale), Perro del Mar (IPA) and Foca Parlante (stout). Seasonal beers included Perro del Cerro (double IPA), Hello My Name Is (West Coast IPA), Rosa Venus (a gose with red prickly pear) and Tres Amigos (West Coast IPA, 130 pesos), and a bucket of six Veraniega cans was 500 pesos.

The food

The anniversary food menu listed sliders with fries (90 pesos), plain fries (130 pesos), the house Papas Wendlandt (160 pesos), two kinds of tostadas (140 pesos each) and wings or boneless (260 pesos). Menus change, so check the link below before you go.

What to expect

This is a beer-first stop for an afternoon pint or the start of a night in Cacho, not a club. Atly’s roundup calls it relaxed and says dogs are welcome.

Prices and entry

We found no cover charge listed. Beers on the posted menu run 100 to 130 pesos; the menu doesn’t give pour sizes.

Getting there

The address is Querétaro 2556, local A, in Colonia Madero (Cacho). From Zona Centro or Zona Río it’s a short taxi or ride-hail trip. Atly’s listing mentions valet parking but no lot of its own.
