Foro Nebraska is a 300-capacity concert room on Calle Sexta, at the Avenida Revolución end of the street, that has become downtown Tijuana’s address for rap, hip-hop and urban shows, with sonidero parties and small festivals in between. It bills itself as an alternative forum for any kind of event, and the calendar backs that up: a touring rapper one weekend, a battle of sound systems with the city’s dance clubs the next.
The vibe
It is a black-box style room: a stage, a floor and a sound system the venue is proud of. The audience is young and local, and the energy depends on the bill. Rap nights bring a standing crowd that knows every word; sonidero nights bring the dance clubs, who show up with their banners and matching shirts and take over the floor. The venue is run for promoters as much as for the public, which means a steady stream of independent shows that would not fit Black Box up the street or an arena across town. If you want to see what Tijuana’s younger music scene actually listens to, this is a good place to find out.
What to expect
The 2025–2026 run shows the pattern. Late 2025 had King Zoo with a G-funk night and the EP launch of Bremont 420 and Jay Romero. In 2026 came Bipo Montana in February, the Festival Alterno in March, ParkSide Plugs on a first Mexican date in April, Green Fest Vol. 3 (a rap festival) and Santa RM the same month, Alan SDR and Cristy Loza in June, the Guerra de Sonidos with Sonido Amatista in July, FNTXY in October, and Monte Carlo, Zxmyr and Don Aitor through the fall. Doors are typically 7 p.m., with the show at 8. The Guerra de Sonidos is the one to pick if you want the Tijuana sonidero scene in one room: cumbia from a wall of speakers, dance clubs competing, and general entry at MX$100.
Prices and entry
Tickets vary with the act: MX$100 for the sonidero night, general tickets in the MX$280–400 range for touring rappers, and premium tiers (meet-and-greet, VIP) that run much higher. Don Aitor’s November 2026 show listed general at MX$288, meet-and-greet at MX$863 and VIP at MX$2,588 through Superboletos; Monte Carlo in October started at MX$400 through TicketNow. Other shows sell through the venue’s own box office. Expect ID checks; age limits are set per event, so check the listing.
Getting there
Ricardo Flores Magón (Calle Sexta) 8158, Zona Centro, at the Revolución end of the street. It is a 20-minute walk from the San Ysidro pedestrian crossing down Revolución, or a ten-minute ride from Zona Río, and the rest of the Sexta scene, La Mezcalera, Dandy del Sur and Moustache Bar, is within two blocks for before and after. Taxis and ride-hail are easy to find on Revolución when the show lets out.
Good to know
- Follow the venue on Facebook (foronebraska) and watch Songkick or Tijuana Eventos for new dates; there is no official website.
- Dance clubs get in free to the Guerra de Sonidos with a club banner or shirt.
- Doors at 7, show at 8 is the usual timing; big-name rap shows sell in phases, so the early price goes fast.
- Bring ID; most bills check it at the door.
