Colibria Cocktail Day Bar is a cocktail bar and kitchen in Plaza Paseo del Río, in the Río Tijuana 3a Etapa area, built on a simple idea: you don’t have to wait for nighttime to have a good drink. Its TJGram listing describes a bar that opens early, with dishes and cocktails rooted in Baja California and made with local ingredients, and its OpenTable page describes a Baja-themed spot using products from the region’s land and sea.
The vibe
OpenTable lists the dress code as smart casual and highlights sunset-inspired cocktails, with happy hour, coffee, beer and takeout among the services. TJGram sums up the house philosophy as “a good drink starts with a good hand.” It’s a daytime-to-late place rather than a club: the music, decor and crowd aren’t described in the listings we found.
The food
The kitchen leans on seafood and local products, according to OpenTable, which mentions tacos. A diner’s September 2026 OpenTable review singled out the aguachile and a cocktail called the Zorro. We haven’t seen a full menu with prices.
What to expect
The hours depend on which listing you read. OpenTable shows 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday, and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; TJGram matches Thursday to Sunday but has it opening at 8 a.m. every day. Reservations are taken on OpenTable, which lists its cuisine as local products, seafood and bar food.
Prices and entry
OpenTable places it in its 310-to-500-peso price range. Colibria is also one of the participants in Tijuana Restaurant Week, organized by the restaurant chamber Canirac Tijuana, in which places serve fixed-price menus at 199, 399 or 799 pesos through Thursday, Nov. 12. When we checked the event’s price lists on Nov. 1, Colibria was on the 399-peso page; not every participant offers every price, so ask which menu applies (our Restaurant Week planner explains how it works). Since OpenTable also lists coffee service, a morning stop doesn’t have to mean a cocktail.
Getting there
Colibria is at Paseo del Río 6672, interior 104-A, inside Plaza Paseo del Río next to the Mormon temple, according to OpenTable, in colonia Río Tijuana 3a Etapa, the same colonia as El Trompo’s Audiorama. OpenTable lists private parking. Nearby on our directory are El Trompo Museo Interactivo and CEART Tijuana.
