Halloween in Tijuana 2026: pumpkin fields, a haunted walk-through and the shows for Oct. 30–31

The back half of October is when Tijuana leans into fall: farm fields with pumpkins, a haunted walk-through, a race for people in mascot costumes, and a Halloween weekend with metal, jazz, an orchestra on Avenida Revolución and a party that runs until 4 a.m. Here is what is confirmed so far, with times and links, plus a few things to sort out before you go.

Daytime: pumpkins, flowers and a costume race

La Ruta del Maíz. This farm runs an autumn season with pumpkin fields, flowers for sale, a café and walking paths, according to its website. It opens Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 5 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; it is closed Tuesdays and the last entry is at 4 p.m. Admission is MX$180 per person Monday to Thursday and MX$200 Friday to Sunday for everyone 2 and older. Pets are not allowed, and neither is outside food or drink other than water. Tijuana Eventos lists it at Km 22 of Bulevar 2000, in the Rancho Casian area, with the fall season running through Oct. 31.

Kumiai costume race, Sunday, Oct. 25. Kumiai Parque de Aventura, in Cueros de Venado south of the city, hosts a race for people in full mascot costumes at 11 a.m. Details are in our story.

Universo del Terror. A Halloween walk-through at La Pradera Food Park (Brasil 225, colonia Juárez) that starts with a labyrinth of terror and continues into themed areas with live characters, photo spots, games, food and drinks, according to its Tijuana Eventos listing. The listing shows it running through Oct. 31 from 5 p.m., about 90 minutes per visit, with general admission from MX$350 plus fees on Boletia. It is a single-source listing, so confirm dates and times on Boletia before you go.

Not spooky, but good for a rainy afternoon: Desafío Dalí opens Oct. 16 at CEART Tijuana.

Friday, Oct. 30

Saturday, Oct. 31

  • Sinfonía de terror y ritmo: the Orquesta de Baja California plays a Halloween program at 9 p.m. on Avenida Revolución. Tijuana Eventos’ festival guide places it at the Arch (Reloj) and lists it with the free events.
  • Latigazo Halloween at Bar Espina: Dinamarca headlines a 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. night with Seli and Jassintio, 18+, with tickets on Resident Advisor.

Sunday, Nov. 1: Día de Muertos and a clock change

The free Día de Muertos parade leaves Calle Quinta and Ocampo at 1 p.m., after a festival that opens at 11 a.m. at the Mercado Benito Juárez. CECUT’s Fiesta de las Ánimas, with its monumental altar, runs Oct. 29 to Nov. 1. Also on Sunday: Baja California’s seasonal time ends at 2 a.m., so clocks go back an hour, which is easy to miss after a late Saturday.

Before you go

  • Crossing back late: check CBP’s wait times at bwt.cbp.gov before you leave, and read our border crossing guide.
  • Weather: Rachel left sinkholes and damaged streets in parts of the city. If it rains again, stay out of flooded streets and canals and call 911 in an emergency; our alert kit lists where to check.
  • Things change: confirm with the venue or ticket seller the day before, and check the TJ Gringo calendar, which we update every morning.
