Kumiai Parque de Aventura, the adventure park in Cueros de Venado, south of Tijuana, is holding its Carrera de Botargas 2026, a race for people in full mascot costumes, on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m., San Diego Red reported, citing the park’s announcement.
The goal is to find the fastest costume. Businesses can bring their mascot to run for their brand, and people without a brand can enter on their own. The winning brand gets brand presence at the park throughout its 2027 season plus a summer outing for the company, and the top individual runner wins a VIP pass for the 2027 season. The park says restrictions apply. Its slogan for the day: “Corre, rÃe y vive la aventura.”
How to enter
Sign up by sending a message through the park’s social media accounts or by WhatsApp at (664) 539 0722. The announcement did not mention an entry fee, so ask when you register.
Plan your day
The park is open Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers zip lines, camping, horseback and motorcycle rides and a farm, according to the same report. It’s a family day out rather than a downtown plan, so allow for the drive south of the city. More weekend ideas are on our calendar.
