The Tijuana Marriott Hotel is the city’s established full-service international hotel, on Boulevard Agua Caliente next to Estadio Caliente and the Club Campestre golf course. It is not downtown and it is not in Zona Río; it sits in the Agua Caliente corridor between them, which is why it suits Xolos match weekends, business travelers with meetings along the boulevard, and anyone who wants a predictable hotel with a pool and parking more than a walkable neighborhood.
What’s there
About 210 rooms and suites with the chain’s standard kit: pillowtop beds, marble bathrooms, flat-panel TVs, blackout curtains and 24-hour room service. Facilities include an outdoor pool, a 24-hour fitness center, Condimento Restaurant with a full buffet (seafood on Fridays, brunch on Sundays), the Great Room lobby lounge with a coffee-and-deli counter and an outdoor terrace, an executive lounge, a business center, laundry and 11 event venues for meetings and weddings. Rooms come with city, landmark or pool views, and family rooms and suites are available. The hotel lists a Green Key environmental certification.
What to expect
Weekdays run on business travel; weekends bring families from Southern California, wedding parties and soccer fans walking over to the stadium. Guests single out the lobby bar, the breakfast buffet and the fact that the hotel takes dollars, pesos and cards without fuss. In late 2025 one floor was closed for renovation, with pool and gym access routed through the restaurant, so expect a property that is being refreshed in stages rather than a new build.
Prices and entry
Rates follow Marriott’s dynamic pricing and the Bonvoy program (Wi-Fi is free for members). On-site self-parking is listed at US$3 a day, with valet available. Check-in is 3 p.m., check-out noon. Pets are not allowed; service animals are welcome without a fee.
Getting there
Address: Blvd. Agua Caliente 11553. The airport is about 8.6 km away and San Diego’s airport about 34 km; the hotel does not run a shuttle, so count on taxis or ride-hail. Zona Río’s restaurants and CECUT are a short taxi ride west, Avenida Revolución a little farther, and Estadio Caliente is close enough that guests walk to matches, which beats sitting in boulevard traffic on game night. The Central de Autobuses is the nearest bus terminal.
Good to know
- Who it suits: match-day fans, business travelers, families who want a pool, and Bonvoy loyalists who know what they are getting.
- Who it does not: anyone planning to walk to bars and restaurants; this is a boulevard hotel, and you will be in cars.
- Marriott is promoting the hotel for the 2026 World Cup season, so check availability early around big match dates.
