Marko Disko Social Club is a mid-size club on Blvd. Cuauhtémoc Sur, across the river channel from Zona Río, that has turned into one of Tijuana’s busiest rooms for live shows. One week it is a Mexican indie band, the next a rapper, a stand-up comic or an electronic party. It is a club in the sense that there is a dance floor, a bar that keeps up and DJs after the show, but the calendar is what drives it, so check who is playing before you decide which night to go.
The vibe
Marko Disko sits in Colonia Dávila on the south bank of the Tijuana River, in a stretch that is more workshops and offices than nightlife, which is part of why it works: the club is the destination, not the street. Inside, the format is close and informal. Promoters describe it as a venue for live music “en formato cercano”, meaning you are never far from the stage, and that is the appeal compared with the big arenas across town. Eric’s visit found a modern room with a spacious dance floor, DJs playing house and electronic sets between live acts, and service that moved fast even when the place was full. Drinks run higher than the cantinas downtown, but the production is a step up too.
What to expect
The 2026 bookings show the range. Winter and spring brought the Los Angeles trio La Lom, the Canadian punk band PUP, the indie-pop group TOPS and the rapper Sandro Malandro; stand-up comedian Alexa Zuart played a February date; Inner Wave and Pearly Drops came through in September. October to December 2026 lists Diles Que No Me Maten, Toser One, a jazz night billed as The Jazz Room, Rubytates and Insite. Late 2025 was similar: Sirenas de Barrio on Halloween, Los Chicos del Norte in December and an electronic party with DJ Pato Shoucair. Doors for shows open around 7 p.m., with the headliner later and the DJs after, and the floor is busiest around 10 p.m. on Fridays.
Prices and entry
Admission depends on the event. Most concerts are ticketed through Boletia, with general tickets starting around MX$300 and some shows in the MX$400 range; the Jazz Room night was listed at MX$400. Tickets are also sold at the Marko Disko box office on the night, as long as they have not run out. Club nights without a headliner charge a cover at the door. Tables for groups are arranged directly with the club, and like every club in Tijuana it is 18 and over, with ID checked at the entrance.
Getting there
The address is Blvd. Cuauhtémoc Sur Pte. 2000, Colonia Dávila, on the boulevard that runs along the south side of the river channel. From Zona Río it is a short hop over the bridge; from Avenida Revolución a ride-hail takes around ten minutes. Uber and DiDi both work well here, and on show nights that is the way to go: Marko Disko is a drive, not a stroll, from downtown. From the San Ysidro border count on 15 to 20 minutes by car.
Good to know
- Check the lineup first: the room changes character completely between a rap show, an indie bill and a DJ night.
- Buy online when a show is on Boletia; the box office cannot promise tickets at the door.
- Doors around 7 p.m. for concerts; if you only want the club, arrive later.
- Eric’s take is in his Marko Disko review.
