Diner House

Diner House is a 1950s-style American diner that opened in early May 2026 on Calle Gobernador Ibarra, in colonia Gabilondo. El Imparcial reported on it about two weeks after it opened and described a retro restaurant built around food, decor and nostalgia for the classic diners of that decade.

The vibe

The place runs to a rock and roll soundtrack, and screens show 1950s TV programs and cartoons, El Imparcial reported. Dino Filisola, who talked with the paper about the concept, said it was created “con mucho entusiasmo” (with a lot of enthusiasm) as a tribute to the people who lived through that era. He said many young customers are surprised to learn how many pop-culture characters date from the 1950s, and that plenty of them come in for takeout and end up staying. The restaurant also told El Imparcial that many older visitors say the decor makes them feel like they’re back in their childhood.

The food

The restaurant’s website lists breakfast, lunch and dinner, and its Uber Eats listing tags it for burgers, sandwiches, American food, and breakfast and brunch. El Imparcial’s report singled out the drinks: a milkshake inspired by Elvis Presley’s tastes and a drink that recreates the milk-and-egg combination Marilyn Monroe was said to drink. On its Uber Eats menu, the Elvis Shake is listed at 154.85 pesos and chocolate, strawberry and vanilla shakes at 117.80, along with Cherry Coke, pink lemonade and a Shirley Temple. The same menu has a breakfast section, a kids’ menu and a dessert called Mom’s Flan.

What to expect

It’s a daytime and early-evening stop. The website lists 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, the same hours El Imparcial reported in May, while the Uber Eats listing shows 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Prices

Prices on its Uber Eats menu include 98.80 pesos for the Tutti Frutti from the breakfast section, 123.50 for the kids’ Jerry’s Sandwich and the same for Mom’s Flan, and 56.05 for a soda. Those are the delivery-app prices we checked; the menu page on its website wasn’t showing prices, and we haven’t seen the printed menu.

Diner House is at Calle Gobernador Ibarra 9806, local 7. El Imparcial places it in colonia Gabilondo, Uber Eats lists colonia América with the postal code 22044 and calls the branch Cacho, and Mindtrip puts the address in Plaza Punto.
