CECUT’s Día de Muertos fair runs from Thursday, Oct. 29, through Sunday, Nov. 1, from noon to 8 p.m. daily, with free entry, about 55 exhibitors (local and out-of-town artisans and entrepreneurs) plus food stands, and four days of folk ballet, norteño, rock, jazz and storytellers, according to Diario Tijuana. It starts with the inauguration of the center’s traditional altar at 11 a.m. on Thursday; this year’s altar honors Margarita Maza Parada, El Imparcial reported.
On Friday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m., UNID fashion-design students and graduates show catrina-inspired looks in the Pasarela de Catrinas on CECUT’s outdoor steps. Clocks fall back an hour at 2 a.m. on Nov. 1, the last day. More in our story, and directions on our CECUT profile.
