Summer baseball nights with the champions

Toros Mobil Park is the baseball stadium on the east side of Tijuana where the Toros play in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol, and the place where the team won its third championship in September 2026 in front of a packed house. If you have only heard it called Estadio Gasmart or Estadio Chevron, it is the same park: the name changes with the sponsor. A summer night here, with a beer and a cap, is one of the most relaxed outings the city offers.

What’s there

The park opened on October 12, 1977, as the Estadio Nacional de Tijuana, with the old Potros taking on the Águilas de Mexicali. It was renovated in 2004 and expanded in 2006 to about 17,000 seats, and has carried a string of commercial names since: Calimax, Gasmart (from 2014), Chevron (from 2019) and now Mobil Park. The Toros have been the Mexican League tenant since 2014 and have won the Serie del Rey three times, in 2017, 2021 and 2026. The 2026 title was clinched at home with a 2–0 win in game six over the Olmecas de Tabasco on the night of the Independence Day grito; infielder Hernán Pérez was series MVP and Roberto Kelly managed the club.

What to expect

The LMB regular season runs from spring into summer. In 2026 the Toros opened on April 17 on the road and played their home opener on April 24 against the Acereros de Monclova, with 15 home series through early August and the playoffs after that. Games are mostly at night and on weekends; the crowd is families, office groups and loud, friendly regulars, with music between innings and the usual ballpark food. Between seasons the park takes concerts: Carín León played here in March 2024, and Yuridia is booked for October 23, 2026, with doors at 7 p.m.

Prices and entry

Game tickets are sold through the Toros’ box office and website (torosdetijuana.com); the fan-service line is +52 664 257 2188, Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prices vary by section and opponent, and the club’s online store, Toroshop, sells jerseys and caps. Concert tickets are sold separately by each promoter.

Getting there

Address: Calle Estadio Tijuana s/n, Colonia Cerro Colorado; ticketing listings use the cross streets Misión de Santo Tomás and Río Eufrates in Infonavit Capistrano. This is well east of Zona Río, so plan on a car: a taxi or ride-hail from the border or downtown is the practical option, and the boulevards slow down before first pitch. Ask your driver for the main gate and arrive early on playoff nights.

Good to know

  • Night games cool off even in July; bring a light jacket.
  • The office hours above are for tickets and fan service, not the gates; gate times follow the game listing.
  • LMB dates shift during the season, and the club marks its calendar as subject to change by the league; check before you cross.

See our guides for Tijuana sports and the calendar for the next home stand or concert at the park.
