Corre contra el cáncer de mama: 5K at the Hipódromo de Agua Caliente

The fifth edition of Corre contra el cáncer de mama, a 5K organized by Corporativo Caliente, starts and finishes in the parking lot of the Hipódromo de Agua Caliente on Saturday, Oct. 24: gates open at 6 a.m. and the race starts at 7 a.m., Grupo Animal reported. Registration costs 300 pesos and is done in person: Grupo Animal listed the Hipódromo on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Tijuana en Línea later reported official booths open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registration includes a commemorative T-shirt, and the first 1,100 finishers get a medal and a bag with a thermos. Tijuana en Línea reported that the route uses Bulevar Las Américas and Bulevar Gustavo Díaz Ordaz. Leashed pets are welcome, and minors can run with an adult.

The registration money goes toward chairs for patients and their families in the oncology area of IMSS’s Hospital General Regional No. 1 in Tijuana, Grupo Animal reported, and the organizers hope to top the 1,500 participants registered last year.
