Free vaccines at El Trompo today, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., plus 2-for-1 museum tickets for those who get a shot

Tijuana’s health jurisdiction, the Jurisdicción de Servicios de Salud Tijuana (JSST), is holding a free vaccination day at the Museo Interactivo El Trompo on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Zeta reported on Tuesday. The drive is for this Wednesday only.

The focus is on flu, COVID-19 and pneumococcal vaccines, since those illnesses are most common from October through March, according to the report. Shots against hepatitis B, tetanus, diphtheria, measles, rotavirus and HPV, among others, are also on offer so that children, adults, older adults and pregnant women can complete their vaccination schedules. JSST head José Abel Delgado Peraza said there is enough supply of the flu, COVID-19 and pneumococcal vaccines and encouraged people to come.

As a one-time perk, people who get vaccinated at the drive can also get two-for-one tickets to the museum’s halls and exhibitions, Zeta said. Delgado Peraza added that vaccination doesn’t stop after campaigns like this one: it continues year-round, with extended hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends, per the report.
