El Buen Fin, Mexico’s national discount event, runs five days this year, from Friday, Nov. 13, through Tuesday, Nov. 17, N+ reported. Last year’s edition ran Thursday to Monday, so this year’s version starts and ends a day later; it is five days long for the second year in a row, according to Bloomberg Línea.
The dates wrap around Monday, Nov. 16, the official observance of Revolution Day, whose anniversary is Nov. 20. That Monday is a mandatory day off under Mexico’s federal labor law, and there are no classes under the SEP school calendar, Bloomberg Línea reported. It is also on the 2026 list of bank holidays from the banking regulator, the CNBV, so bank branches will be closed, UnoTV reported; ATMs and card payments keep working on those days, according to the same report.
Businesses have until Thursday, Nov. 12, to register for the campaign through its official portal, N+ reported.
Plan your week
- Need a bank teller? Go before or after Monday, Nov. 16; branches are closed that day, but ATMs work.
- Monday is a day off for most workers and students in Mexico, so many people in Tijuana will have a three-day weekend.
- Shopping on both sides of the line? U.S. Black Friday comes two weeks later, on Nov. 27; our Thanksgiving weekend planner covers crossing that week.
