Mochomos is a Sonoran restaurant brand that started in Hermosillo, and its Tijuana branch is in The Landmark Tijuana on Bulevar Agua Caliente, according to the company’s website. The brand says it has served high-end Sonoran cooking since 2010, when Alfonso Lira began cooking for family and friends in Hermosillo, and it now lists 21 branches. The focus is premium beef cuts, seafood from the Sea of Cortez and cooking over mesquite. The Tijuana branch is also on the 799-peso list of Tijuana Restaurant Week 2026, which runs through Nov. 12.

The vibe

OpenTable describes big tables and a warm room meant for family meals, business dinners and after-work drinks, and lists the style as casual elegant. Besides the main dining room there’s a terrace and a private room. With wine, craft beer and spirits on the list, valet parking and late hours, it works for a long lunch as well as a late dinner.

The food

OpenTable’s Spanish description lists range-fed ribeyes (ribeyes de agostadero), farm specialties, catch from the Sea of Cortez and seasonal vegetables, with a Cantonese influence, plus wine, craft beer and Mexican and imported spirits. Dishes mentioned on its OpenTable page include a tomahawk steak, a ribeye aguachile, a chiltepín, lime and garlic sauce, a fillet in butter (filete a la mantequilla), a beet and fried panela tower and a Nutella mostachón for dessert, with micheladas and mango mezcalitas to drink.

What to expect

This is a sit-down, book-ahead restaurant. OpenTable takes reservations, as does the brand’s website, and showed reviews from the past week when we checked on Nov. 5, 2026. Hours, according to OpenTable and AAA: Sunday and Monday 1 p.m. to midnight, Tuesday to Thursday 1 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Friday and Saturday 1 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Prices and entry

OpenTable puts Mochomos in its top bracket, 500 pesos and up per person, and AAA marks it with four dollar signs. Large cuts such as the tomahawk aren’t priced on OpenTable, so ask before you order. For Restaurant Week, Mochomos is on the 799-peso tier; the campaign page doesn’t detail its menu, so ask when you book. OpenTable lists the dress code as smart casual.

Getting there

The address is Bulevar Agua Caliente 10223, in The Landmark Tijuana (OpenTable lists postal code 22010). Valet parking is available, according to OpenTable. Coming from the border, a taxi or ride-hail is the simplest option; give the driver the building name and the street number.
