BossÄ, usually written Bosse, is a Friday-and-Saturday nightclub in Colonia Aviación, the neighborhood of the Grand Hotel Tijuana towers between Zona RĆo and Blvd. Agua Caliente. It opens at 10 p.m. and runs until 4 or 5 a.m., and it is one of the clubs people name when they want a full production night: dark room, heavy bass, fire shows and bottle service, with a crowd mostly between 18 and 30.
The vibe
Bosse plays the big-club card. Visitors describe a dark, smoky room with a strong sound system, lighting rigs and fire shows, and the music mixes current reggaeton, hip-hop and electronic hits with corridos, which is a very Tijuana combination. Eric’s visit found a chic, modern interior with a spacious dance floor, VIP areas and several bars, themed nights and special events, and staff who handled tables and bottles professionally. The crowd is young and local, with a share of San Diego groups on weekends.
What to expect
Friday and Saturday only. The room fills late; plan on arriving around midnight if you want the floor at full energy, or earlier if you want to pick a table. Bottle service drives the business, and visitor tips put bottles in the US$150ā200 range, so check the price list before you order. Several notes also recommend bringing cash, since card payments are not always accepted. Fire shows and performers break up the DJ sets, and the night keeps going until closing.
Prices and entry
Cover depends on the night and on whether there is a guest DJ or special event; the club has used Eventbrite for ticketed nights and posts promotions on Instagram, which is also where reservations are handled (a separate account manages tables). Entry is 18 and over with ID. There is no published dress code.
Getting there
Listings give the address as Blvd. Salinas 11050, Colonia Aviación; one local events directory lists the entrance on Calle Luis GonzĆ”lez Espinoza 3251 in the same colonia, so check the pin on the club’s Instagram before you set the destination. Blvd. Salinas connects Blvd. Agua Caliente with the Zona RĆo side of the river, so from Plaza RĆo or from Revolución it is a ten-minute ride, and from the border about fifteen. Use a taxi or ride-hail; this is not a walking neighborhood at 4 a.m.
Good to know
- Follow @bossetijuana for the weekend’s lineup and promotions; a second account handles reservations.
- Carry cash for cover and tips even if you plan to pay for the table by card.
- Bosse and Bash are the two clubs on the Zona RĆo side that run the same bottle-service format; Las Pulgas downtown is the opposite kind of night.
- Eric covered it in his Bosse review.
