Tijuana’s fourth Desfile Tradicional de Día de Muertos is Sunday, Nov. 1. A food and art festival with a Catrines and Catrinas contest opens at 11 a.m. at the Mercado Benito Juárez, and the parade leaves Calle Quinta and Ocampo at 1 p.m. for a roughly 3-kilometer loop (Quinta, Negrete, Tercera toward Parque Teniente Guerrero, back on Cuarta) that ends at the market, according to the organizers’ presentation as reported by Diario Tijuana and CiudadTijuana. Entry and shows are free.
Clocks go back an hour at 2 a.m. that morning in Baja California, so check your phone’s time before heading downtown. Route details and CECUT’s Día de Muertos altar are in our Day of the Dead story.
