**Woman Accused of Killing Partner Left a Note Suggesting Suicide**

Before allegedly taking the life of her partner at a residence in the Ejido Lázaro Cárdenas neighborhood in Tijuana, a young woman named Jenny “N” reportedly left a note for one of her relatives indicating a possible intention to commit suicide. This information was shared by Miguel Ángel Gaxiola, head of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Life Crimes.

On Saturday, February 15, authorities found Jenny barricaded in one of the bedrooms of the home, alongside the body of her partner, holding a firearm in her hand. The incident was reported by the victim’s brother, who called the police.

The victim, aged 29, was declared deceased at the scene. Jenny, aged 27, was taken into custody and a .40 caliber pistol was secured from her. According to Gaxiola Rodríguez, Jenny had sent a message, believed to be a posthumous note, to a family member before the tragic event. However, the crime scene did not align with a suicide scenario since the man was found lying down.

Gaxiola emphasized, “That note was apparently communicated to a relative, and that’s what we’re investigating. The circumstances of the incident do not coincide with suicide, definitely. Therefore, she has been taken before the control judge for aggravated homicide.”

Regarding the possibility that Jenny was a victim of domestic violence, Gaxiola mentioned that no evidence or records have corroborated such a claim so far. Nonetheless, the State Attorney General, María Elena Andrade Ramírez, assured that if any evidence of domestic violence is found, appropriate measures will be taken.

Tijuana has recently been the scene of several violent incidents. These incidents reflect an ongoing concern about violence in the region, prompting local law enforcement and government officials to consider implementing stricter measures and policies to address the rising crime rate. The need for enhanced community safety and preventative strategies has never been more critical, as these violent crimes impact not only the victims’ families but also the broader community’s well-being.

The emphasis remains on creating a safer environment in Tijuana and surrounding areas through collaborative efforts.
