The eighth stage of the Serial Atlético Delegacional, the city’s race series that moves from one borough to the next, is a 5K in Presa Este on Saturday, Nov. 7, the Instituto Municipal del Deporte de Tijuana (IMDET) announced, according to Zeta. The race starts at 7:15 a.m., and both the start and the finish are at the Cerro de las Abejas recreation and sports park.
How to sign up
- New participants can register from Tuesday, Oct. 20, through Friday, Nov. 6, through an official online link that IMDET said it would post on its channels, and you have to accept a liability waiver (carta responsiva).
- The fee is 270 pesos plus VAT, and it covers all nine stages of the 2026 series, per the institute.
- Once your registration is validated, pick up your race number at the IMDET offices, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
- The first 5,000 runners across the line get a commemorative medal.
IMDET’s director, César Aramis González Guerrero, called the series a central part of the city government’s push to bring sport to the neighborhoods and strengthen families, Zeta reported. The announcement doesn’t give a street address for the park, so check IMDET’s channels for directions and parking before race day.
Every race we list is on the calendar.
