Aranda starts Game 3 on the bench as the Brewers rout the Rays 10-1; Game 4 is tonight at 5 p.m. Tijuana time

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 10-1 on Monday night at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, to take a 3-0 lead in the World Series and move within one win of the franchise’s first title, El ExtraBase and Juanfutbol reported. Milwaukee broke the game open with eight runs in the fifth inning, all with two outs, and Yahoo Sports reported seven straight two-out hits in the inning, a postseason first. Brewers starter Robert Gasser threw six scoreless innings and allowed one hit, per El ExtraBase.

Tijuana’s Jonathan Aranda, who had reached base in five of his first eight plate appearances in the Series, was left out of the starting lineup, a decision Juanfutbol called a surprise. He pinch-hit for Ryan Vilade in the bottom of the seventh with Tampa Bay down 10-0 and flied out to third base, then stayed in the game at first base and grounded out to second for the final out. He is 4-for-9 (.444) in the Series, per Juanfutbol.

Game 4 is tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. Eastern, again at Tropicana Field, according to Yahoo Sports; Juanfutbol lists the game at 6 p.m. Mexico City time. That’s 5 p.m. in Tijuana. A Milwaukee win would end the Series, and the Rays would need four straight wins to take it.
