## Hutchison Ports Mexico Promotes Breast Cancer Awareness Among Employees
Hutchison Ports Mexico has actively participated in promoting breast cancer awareness by organizing various activities throughout October, coinciding with International Breast Cancer Awareness Day. From Veracruz to Ensenada, the company’s terminals engaged in initiatives designed to encourage healthy lifestyles and highlight the importance of early detection. These activities reflect the company’s culture, focusing on inclusion, holistic well-being, and social responsibility.
On October 5th, Hutchison Ports ICAVE in Veracruz held its first breast cancer awareness run on the Vicente Fox Quesada Boulevard. About 150 participants completed a 2-kilometer route to endorse physical activity and combat sedentary lifestyles. Commemorative kits were given to participants, and the top three finishers received medals and electronic vouchers.
In Ensenada, the EIT and ECV terminals hosted a 1.7-kilometer walk combined with a rally involving physical challenges and a breast cancer prevention quiz on October 19th. These events aimed not only to raise awareness among employees but also to enhance team bonding and collaborative work environments.
Hutchison Ports TILH in Hidalgo conducted a preventive workshop on October 17th, emphasizing self-examination and healthy habits. A cancer survivor shared her personal journey to underline the emotional impact of the disease and the significance of early diagnosis.
Moreover, the LCT terminal in Lázaro Cárdenas and the TIMSA terminal in Manzanillo joined these efforts by organizing informative sessions on prevention, endeavoring to expand the outreach of these actions nationwide.
According to the port operator, each of these initiatives reflects their comprehensive vision dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of their employees. Through these efforts, Hutchison Ports Mexico aims to reaffirm its commitment to social sustainability and demonstrate that breast cancer prevention remains a permanent priority on their corporate agenda.
