**Join the Race: “I Also Run in Tijuana” Athletic Event**
This weekend, the vibrant city of Tijuana will host the 2024 edition of the popular 5-kilometer race organized by the running community “I Also Run in Tijuana.” Scheduled for Sunday, October 27, the event will take place at the Faculty of Sports at the Autonomous University of Baja California.
This year’s theme embraces the spirit of Halloween, inviting runners to don their favorite costumes and make the event even more festive. The 5K run introduces a relay format featuring three categories: teams of four men, women, and mixed teams, each competing on a 1,000-meter circuit.
Event organizer Germán RodrÃguez anticipates more than 1,200 participants to join the excitement. “We had great success in previous editions, which inspired us to continue hosting this race. The addition of relays has been a hit, allowing friends to team up and compete for prizes,” RodrÃguez commented.
Surprise awards await the top three teams in each relay category, along with the top three overall finishers in the 5K race. The starting gun will fire promptly at 7 a.m., and the registration fee is set at 250 pesos.
