**Get Ready for the “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament in Rosarito This March 30th**
Rosarito’s scenic “Playa El Bebé” is set to host the first leg of Baja California’s state fishing competition on Sunday, March 30th. The organizers are anticipating an enthusiastic turnout, with last year’s event drawing nearly 150 participants from various parts of the state and Southern California.
The event is an integral part of the official calendar by SEPESCA BC and enjoys the backing of Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda’s administration. It is organized by the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association and is hosted by TJ Fishing Club, led by Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno.
This tournament is the first in a series of three selective beach fishing competitions. Participants in these events vie for a spot in the State Championship. The day will start with registration at 5:00 AM, followed by the official fishing commencement at 7:00 AM. Weigh-in will conclude at 1:00 PM, with allowances for participants who are queueing by the deadline.

Looking ahead, the ensuing rounds of the state competition will be held on April 27th at Sunset Beach in Ensenada and on July 20th at Playa El Pabellón in San Quintín. The top performers from these events will earn the opportunity to represent Baja California in the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship on September 19-20 at Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco.
