**Economic Surge of 5.8 Billion Pesos Anticipated in Tijuana During ‘Buen Fin’**
In the 2024 edition of ‘Buen Fin,’ Tijuana is expected to experience a 10% increase in economic activity, with an estimated revenue of 5.8 billion pesos compared to the previous year’s figures. This projection was made by Julian Palombo Saucedo, the president of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism of Tijuana (Canaco-Servytur).
According to Palombo, this year will see approximately 33,000 commercial activities, up from 30,000 in 2023, which generated a revenue of 5.3 billion pesos. The event, known for its significant discounts ranging from 5% to 70%, sees consumers purchasing everything from clothing and footwear to electronic items. This increase indicates a robust interest from both the businesses and consumers participating in the festivities.
‘Buen Fin’ will begin on Friday, November 15, and run through Monday, November 18, offering four days of significant savings. Furthermore, the Secretary of Economic Development of the XXV City Council has announced a generous offer of 500 free medical passes for each day of the event to encourage visitors from across the border to shop in Tijuana.
“We’ll sponsor 2,000 medical passes so residents from the other side of the border can come to Tijuana and take advantage of the deals and services our businesses offer, from shopping malls to small local stores,” said Palombo Saucedo. He extended an invitation to regional businesses to join the economic activities and encouraged citizens and visitors to make the most of the local offers.
“By consuming locally, we not only support our local businesses but also strengthen our city economically,” he concluded.
