**Homicides Surge: Tijuana Begins December with Eight Killings**

As December begins, Tijuana has witnessed a surge in violence, with eight homicides reported in the first 29 hours of the month, bringing the total to 1,679 homicides for the year 2024. Local law enforcement agencies have provided details on these incidents.

The first incident occurred at 4:25 AM on December 1st on Tecoripa Street in the José Sandoval neighborhood, La Mesa district. The body of a 29-year-old man was found near a bar, showing signs of gunshot wounds.

Later, at 10:34 AM, another unidentified man aged between 45 and 50 was discovered deceased on Gorrión Street in the Rancho Santa Cruz area, Los Pinos district. The victim had suffered severe head trauma consistent with gunshot injuries.

Another tragic incident found an 18-year-old male dead from similar gunshot wounds at 11:06 AM on Francisco Fregoso Street, in the Camino Verde neighborhood of Sánchez Taboada district.

In the evening, around 8:31 PM, authorities discovered a burned male body with a gunshot wound to the neck on Punta Candeleros Street, Guaycura neighborhood, Cerro Colorado district—his identity and age remain unknown.

At 9:20 PM, a body wrapped in cloth was found on the sidewalk of Baja California Avenue, within the Playas de Tijuana region. The deceased man, aged between 35 and 40, showed clear signs of violence.

In the early hours of the following Monday, at 12:51 AM, yet another burned body was discovered beside a concrete surface in the Tijuana-Rosarito 2000 corridor, Fraccionamiento Natura. Again, the identity and age were not determined.

Authorities are yet to announce any breakthroughs or connections between these ongoing investigations.
