The event, held at Playa El Bebé, is organized under the auspices of SEPESCA BC and the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association. As flashbacks evoke nearly 150 anglers who flocked to the tournament last year, expectations are high for an even bigger turnout this time around.

This year, the TJ Fishing Club, led by Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno, is at the helm. The tournament is part of a three-round series where participants can qualify for the coveted State Championship. The day will kick off with an early registration at 5:00 AM, followed by the official fishing start at 7:00 AM. Competitors have until 1:00 PM to weigh in their catches.

Prizes will be awarded across various categories, including specific classifications for children and women, as well as different fish species like mojarra. Attendees can also look forward to food and raffles featuring local fish.

Successful anglers will earn the opportunity to represent Baja California at the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship in Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco, from September 19-20.
