Baja California’s Secretary of Citizen Security, Laureano Carrillo Rodríguez, stated that one complaint was lodged with the State Attorney General’s Office, while the other was directed to the Internal Control Body of the security department.
Carrillo Rodríguez highlighted that while two formal complaints have been made, there are also unverified allegations circulating on social media that are currently under review. However, no additional formal reports have been filed regarding these claims.

The Secretary clarified that the four officers were relocated primarily for their safety while the Internal Control Body conducts its investigation. “There’s no evidence linking them to the accusations yet, but they’ve been reassigned as a precautionary measure,” he mentioned.
Since March 7th, the State Police have managed security in Rosarito, succeeding the 264 municipal officers who are now undergoing psychological, medical, and toxicology tests. These officers are also subjected to social background checks and polygraph exams as a part of a comprehensive vetting process. The inspection of firearms for serial numbers and codes is also underway.
