Claudia Sheinbaum Launches Major Housing Initiative in Playas de Rosarito
Recently, President Claudia Sheinbaum visited Playas de Rosarito to inaugurate a significant new housing initiative as part of a broader national effort. This ambitious program aims to construct 50,000 homes across Baja California, contributing to the nationwide goal of building one million affordable homes.
The initiative targets supporting vulnerable groups, such as single mothers, young people, indigenous communities, and the elderly, by providing them with much-needed housing. In Playas de Rosarito alone, approximately 500 homes are planned, with a particular focus on female beneficiaries.
During the event, President Sheinbaum highlighted the importance of collaboration between different levels of government to ensure the program’s success. She also addressed additional regional priorities like improving access to potable water, underscoring the broader commitment to enhancing living conditions for underserved populations throughout Mexico.
