**Óscar Robles Returns as Manager for the Tijuana Toros**
Tijuana native, Óscar Robles Arenas, has once again taken the helm as manager for the Tijuana Toros, just in time for the 2025 season of the Mexican Baseball League (LMB). This announcement was made by the new face in the Toros’ management, Omar Canizalez, the former president of the Mexican Pacific League from 2009 to 2022.
Speaking about his return, Robles expressed, “I’ve matured since my last time here; we’re going to ensure it’s tough for other teams to win a series against the Toros in our hometown. I spent five or six years preparing since I was last with the Toros, and I promised to come back as a better manager and a better person.”
Previously, Robles managed the Tijuana team during the 2018 and 2019 seasons and has also held managerial roles with the Tigres de Quintana Roo, Algodoneros de Unión Laguna, Guerreros de Oaxaca, Generales de Durango, and Dorados de Chihuahua.
For Robles, this is not just a return but a chance for redemption, as he confidently stated, “This is an opportunity for us to bring a championship home. We have the team and the fans, and there is no doubt we are going for the title. Being clad in the Toros uniform is our biggest motivation.”
A key strength for the Toros this season will be their pitching and enhanced offense. Enrique Cuouh, the team’s sports manager, also announced plans for an “Early Camp” starting March 1, 2025, with the first preparation games taking place on March 28 in Monterrey, Nuevo León; Saltillo and Torreón, Coahuila; Aguascalientes, and potentially in La Paz, Baja California.
The Toros’ regular season will kick off on April 16 against the Aguascalientes Rieleros at the Chevron Stadium.
