On November 21, 2024, Querétaro’s State Attorney General’s Office announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with the tragic attack at “Los Cantaritos” bar, located in the Historic Center of Querétaro’s San Javier neighborhood. The assault, which took place on November 9, resulted in ten fatalities and thirteen injuries.

According to the prosecution, the detained suspects face potential sentences of up to 50 years in prison for each murder. As part of the exhaustive investigation, authorities conducted over 60 interviews and reviewed approximately 500 hours of video footage from more than 50 surveillance cameras.

During a press conference, Víctor Antonio De Jesús Hernández, the head of the Attorney General’s Office, elaborated on the operation leading to the apprehension.
