After a hiatus from the ring, Tijuana’s Alexandro “Peque” Santiago is set to make a comeback this Saturday, November 30, at the much-anticipated boxing event “Noche de Box 46.” This event is organized by Fábrica de Campeones in collaboration with Guerreros Promotions, Marrón Promotions, and Promociones Mayen, and will be held at the Grand Hotel.

Santiago (28-4-5, 14 KOs), who lost the WBC bantamweight title to Japan’s Junto Nakatani earlier this year, is the headline attraction of the event. He will face off against José Miguel Calderón (11-2-0) in a 10-round bantamweight match.

Both boxers successfully passed the weigh-in ceremony, ensuring they are ready for the fight. “I’m very happy; the hardest part is over, which is making weight. Now, I’m just eager to get back in the ring and fight in front of my family,” Santiago said. He highlighted his dedication and discipline, especially for maintaining his weight, and expressed confidence in his preparation for this fight. “I never underestimate my opponents, so I hope to deliver a good fight in front of our fans,” he stated.

The event will feature ten bouts in total. Notably, Elvin Soto, son of “Zorrita,” will take on Ulises Benavides (2-1) in a four-round super featherweight match. Additionally, local boxer Lorena “Pantera” Gutiérrez (6-1) is set to battle the experienced Eloisa Martínez (5-15-4) in a four-round super featherweight contest.

The matches commence at 6 PM, with tickets starting at 400 pesos for general admission.
