Oven Search for Missing Worker

Intensified scrutiny on Prime Wheel’s ovens in the search for missing Servando Salazar Cano begins amid increased investigative measures, shedding light on the potential complexity and challenges faced by authorities.

### Inspection to Begin on Prime Wheel Ovens in Search for Servando Salazar

As more than three weeks have passed since the disappearance of Prime Wheel employee Servando Salazar Cano, who was last seen on August 23, search activities will now focus on the company’s ovens.

“We have found additional evidence and continue to work on this case. There will be further measures taken related to the ovens today and tomorrow as part of the investigation,” explained the state’s Attorney General, María Elena Andrade Ramírez.

Officials assured that they have the authority to secure any necessary areas to conduct the investigation and gather evidence.

Prime Wheel owns two waste disposal ovens that operate at a temperature of 1400°F, requiring approximately 3 to 4 days to shut down, according to Alejandro López Reyes, Prosecutor of Specialized Units. Nevertheless, Reyes emphasized the importance of exhausting all available information.

“If there is something there, it would require forensic experts to determine what we can salvage. It could be challenging,” he noted. The ongoing investigation maintains the hypothesis that Salazar Cano never left the company premises.

Regarding blood traces found in the bathrooms of the missing employee’s work area, authorities have not dismissed their relevance to the investigation.

“It’s necessary for forensic services to continue with chemical analyses. We might have an indication but not certainty that it could be blood. Further work is required to understand if this small sample could provide any genetic information,” Reyes explained.

Servando Salazar Cano, after eight years working as a maintenance manager at Prime Wheel, vanished on August 23 without a trace following a workshop he conducted at the company. Moisés “N” and José Alfredo “N,” engineer and general supervisor at the company, were linked to the process on Thursday, September 5, for their supposed involvement in the crime of forced disappearance by private individuals.
