## “Revolución Otaku” Arrives in Tijuana This Saturday
Tijuana is set to host the 13th edition of “Revolución Otaku” this Saturday, December 7th. The event will celebrate Japanese culture in the expansive outdoor area of El Trompo, a renowned venue in the city. From 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities ranging from family-friendly entertainment to dynamic cosplay performances.
Eduardo Fernández, the event coordinator, emphasized that “Revolución Otaku” will feature an array of activities suitable for families and groups of friends. This year’s event promises to be special with the presence of voice actors Magui Vera, Marcos Patiño, and Miguel de León, who will be attending for the first time.
In addition, the event will showcase cover dance performances, karaoke concerts, cosplay competitions, and gaming tournaments. Photography enthusiasts will find dedicated photo spots, while art aficionados can participate in a drawing contest. Visitors can also enjoy a cosplay runway and performances by invited rock bands. Georgina Labrada, a character impersonator serving as a cosplay judge, has been enhancing cosplay competitions in Tijuana for two years. Last year, the city served as the state venue for World Cosplay Sony, an esteemed international cosplay competition. Efforts are underway to improve the evaluation criteria and continue to raise the professional standards of cosplay contests in the area.
