### Lauro Acevedo to Unveil New Book in Ensenada
Today, Friday, March 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the celebrated poet from Baja California, Lauro Acevedo, will present his latest book at the Aula Magna of the State Center for the Arts (CEART) in Ensenada. The book, titled “Diapasión,” has been published by Ediciones Odra this year and is part of the World Poetry Day celebrations, as recognized by UNESCO in Paris in 1999.
Lauro Acevedo describes his new work as a collection of twenty brief yet intense poems, which he refers to as “Compartituras.” According to Acevedo, these poems represent the notes in the symphony of life’s events. “This book is crafted from the vibrant strings of personal reality, capturing sensations that transcend the written page. Each poem embodies the sense of life’s finitude, a reminder that everything is transient and sweeps us along like a furious storm, amidst the whirl of our aching bodies,” explained Acevedo.
The book launch will feature participation from the author himself, along with Noé Canseco and Stasía de la Garza. Additionally, guitarist César Marmolejo will perform a musical piece, and Acevedo will read excerpts from his poetry collection. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
