**Vehicle Dealerships Attacked, Sustaining Only Material Damage**
In the early hours of Saturday, several car dealerships in Mexicali became targets of an attack that left them with damage to their structures. Unknown individuals fired shots at businesses located along Boulevard Lázaro Cárdenas and Adolfo López Mateos. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, only material damage.
The incident was alerted to emergency numbers, prompting a response from the local municipal police. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a security guard who was on duty. The guard recounted observing a black car approach, from which shots were fired at the dealerships before the vehicle fled the scene.
According to the Mexicali Public Security Directorate, the worst damage was reported at the Polaris agency with four front windows shattered. The Mazda dealership suffered the breakage of two front windows, while the Toyota dealership recorded damage to one window. It was determined that pellet guns were used in the attack.
Authorities have called in experts from the Baja California Attorney General’s office to begin an in-depth investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to this event.

**Secondary News: Rising Concerns Over Crime in Baja California**
The recent attack on vehicle dealerships adds to a growing list of alarming incidents across the Baja California region. Earlier this year, there were reports of attacks on residential properties and vehicles in Ensenada, highlighting growing security concerns. In January, law enforcement officers were targeted during operations in Rosarito, which led to heightened security measures.
Local communities and business owners are increasingly anxious about the rising crime rates and are calling for more effective measures to ensure safety. The state’s law enforcement agencies are under pressure to enforce stricter surveillance and improve response times to prevent further attacks.
As the investigations continue, residents hope for swift justice and improved safety initiatives to deter future criminal activities in the area.
