**Two Young Men Fatally Shot in Western Mexicali**
In a tragic incident in the western part of Mexicali, two young men lost their lives after being targeted in a shooting. The event unfolded on Monday evening, February 3, when a dark-colored vehicle approached a residence on San QuintÃn Avenue in the Azteca neighborhood. Occupants of the car opened fire on two cousins who were outside the home.
Following the alarming sounds of gunfire, emergency services were immediately alerted. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a family member who was inside the residence at the time of the shooting. The relative recounted being asleep when the gunfire erupted and, upon checking outside, found both her son and nephew lying on the ground, sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite being rushed to the General Hospital of Mexicali, both victims, identified as Luis Felipe, 19, and Kevin Enrique, 22, were declared dead upon arrival. At the crime scene, officers collected 21 shell casings of 7.62 caliber and 4 casings of 9-millimeter caliber. The facade of the house also showed visible damage from the gunfire.
