Kiln Supervisor Charged

Supervisor Magdiel N. under investigation for missing manager case at Prime Wheel. Authorities intensify search efforts as public demands justice and transparency in high-profile mystery.

### Prime Wheel’s Kiln Supervisor Under Investigation for Missing Manager Case

Magdiel N., the supervisor of the kiln area at Prime Wheel, has been formally charged in connection with the disappearance of Servando Salazar Cano, a 35-year-old maintenance manager last seen on August 23. During the court session held on Monday, September 30th, the prosecutor shared that Magdiel N. allegedly collaborated with Moisés N. and José Alfredo N., the company’s engineer and general supervisor, who have been under investigation since September 5.

According to the collected data, on the day of Salazar Cano’s disappearance, he had conducted a course at the company from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. He then authorized a break, but did not return after 2:15 p.m. Surveillance footage captured Magdiel N. leaving and re-entering the company’s premises around 1:23 p.m. and again at 1:30 p.m., respectively. Soon after, witnesses noticed unusual black smoke emitting from one of the kilns, which typically produce white smoke.

Hazardous materials experts from Tijuana’s Fire Department investigated, determining that while melting aluminum—a primary material for Prime Wheel’s products—generates white smoke, mixing with other substances like clothing produces black smoke. Magdiel N. claimed during questioning that he was inside the plant during the critical hours, however, employee testimonies and surveillance contradicted his statements and those of Moisés and José Alfredo.

Further investigation revealed inconsistencies in Moisés and José Alfredo’s accounts. They claimed they went to buy food, but surveillance tapes did not support their claims. At 1:34 p.m., a black Jeep Chrysler, owned by Moisés, was seen leaving and later entering a different location where Servando’s mobile phone was eventually found.

Authorities have thoroughly searched several locations, including ducts, ovens, and secured areas, but have not found any additional evidence. Magdiel N. has not given a statement and the motive behind the alleged actions remains unclear. However, based on the evidence, the judge has ordered pre-trial detention and set a six-month investigation period ending on March 30, 2025, under charges of forced disappearance.
