**Man Dies in Armed Attack in Downtown Area**

On the afternoon of Saturday, September 7, 2024, a man was fatally shot in the Downtown area. The suspect was apprehended shortly after the incident.

According to reports, the shooting occurred around 2:47 PM on Third Street between Madero and Revolución Avenues. The victim, approximately 35 years old, was found lying on his back wearing a blue and white plaid shirt and blue jeans. He had sustained gunshot wounds to the chest and neck. Despite the prompt arrival of medical assistance, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses described the shooter as a slim woman with dark skin and yellow hair, wearing a floral dress. An immediate search resulted in the suspect’s capture in Alley Z, between Madero Avenue and Coahuila Street. She was identified as Brenda Marisol N, originally from Ensenada, and was subsequently taken to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) for further investigation.

At the crime scene, law enforcement officers found three pieces of ballistic evidence and a black Glock .40 caliber pistol about 30 meters from the victim.
