### Expo Tequila 2024 Kicks Off in Tijuana
In a spirited opening ceremony, the 23rd edition of “Expo Tequila 2024” officially launched in Tijuana. Hosted on Avenida Revolución between 8th and 9th streets, the event welcomes visitors until Sunday, October 20th. The annual celebration was inaugurated with notable attendance including Tijuana’s municipal president and representatives from business organizations, offering visitors a chance to explore offerings from over 45 tequila producers.
The municipal president emphasized the festival’s dual nature as a cultural gathering and economic engine for the city. He expressed optimism for the event’s future, promising continued support throughout his mayoral term.
Mario Murrieta, director of the Expo Tequila, highlighted this year’s broader range of tequilas, with participation from 45 houses and over 100 labels. Murrieta noted the addition of seven new tequila producers and a venue that supports the evolving presentation of tequila, including variants of white, reposado, and añejo.
The Expo aims to promote tequila culture and foster business relationships, bringing together renowned suppliers. Attendees can enjoy diverse culinary options and an attractive musical lineup featuring folkloric ballet, musical groups, mariachis, and soloists, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
The tequila fest opens its doors on Saturday, October 19th, and Sunday from 2 PM to midnight. Admission is 180 pesos for adults, while children enter free.
