**In Tijuana: Arrests Made Following Discovery of Human Remains in Abandoned Vehicle**

Authorities in Tijuana have apprehended the individuals suspected of involvement in the disappearance and death of Omar Guido, a local bar owner. Guido, who owned Bar Sodoma on Avenida Revolución in the city’s Zona Centro, was reported missing on October 16 from the Linda Vista neighborhood.

On the afternoon of October 18, during a routine patrol by the municipal police, a grey vehicle bearing the license plate BLF1535A was located on Niños Héroes street in the Zona Centro. Upon inspection, officers discovered the trunk partially open and found a blue plastic tub containing human remains. These remains were soon identified by Guido’s family as being his.

Following this grim discovery, local police and the Baja California State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) initiated an operation to track down those responsible. During surveillance on Mayorca street, near the intersection with 20 de Noviembre in the Hidalgo neighborhood, authorities noticed a vehicle with two men inside violating traffic regulations, prompting them to intervene.

The suspects ignored police orders to stop, fleeing on foot towards a nearby hill but were subsequently apprehended. The first suspect, identified as Gabriel “N,” was found with nine bags of marijuana, while the second, Diego “N,” had nine packages of cocaine.

Preliminary investigations suggest Gabriel “N” played a role in abandoning the vehicle containing human remains, and surveillance footage captured him leaving the area in a grey Hyundai Sonata. He also has an outstanding warrant for kidnapping and is reportedly linked to a criminal gang.

Both suspects have been handed over to the FGE for further investigation.

**Further Developments in Tijuana Security Concerns**

In recent weeks, Tijuana has been under heightened scrutiny due to a series of violent incidents impacting the community. Just days before Omar Guido’s disappearance, concerns about public safety were raised after another incident where a young girl, Ariday, lost her life under suspicious circumstances, sparking calls for justice.

Local authorities are enhancing security measures in the area, a move that includes the collaboration of municipal forces with federal agencies. There is a growing effort to address systemic issues such as organized crime and drug trafficking, both of which are contributing to escalating violence.

The ongoing situation has prompted community leaders to advocate for more comprehensive security strategies and better infrastructure to support these initiatives. Despite these challenges, local events and cultural activities continue, signifying the resilience of Tijuana’s community amidst adversity.
