The homicide occurred on Saturday, September 7, at the intersection of 11th Street and Obregón, in a two-story white house next to the Sanatorio del Carmen. The victim, identified as Cynthia Camarena, was discovered unconscious with a knife found near her body. She did not survive long enough to be taken to the hospital, leading law enforcement to secure the crime scene.
