### In Ensenada, Legal Action Commences Against Land Occupiers in Praderas del Ciprés

The Municipal Department of Urban Development, Ecology, and Environment in Ensenada has launched 40 administrative proceedings against individuals alleged to have unlawfully occupied land in the Praderas del Ciprés neighborhood. This area is crucial, as it is part of the planned continuation of the southern bypass that will connect El Sauzal to Maneadero. The occupation of these plots has sparked unrest among local residents who are protesting against the unauthorized presence on the land.

Marco Antonio Orozco Orozco, the head of the department, explained that these actions are taken under the powers granted by Article 14 of the Municipal Regime Law, and Article 6, Section VI of the Building Law, which allow municipal authorities to reclaim properties occupied without appropriate permits or legal standing. Orozco indicated that case files, numbered JI/DE/4723/2024 to JI/DE/4763/2024, have been compiled for this purpose. A designated inspector from the Directorate of Urban Administration, Ecology, and Environment has been assigned to ensure that the possessors’ rights to due process and legality are respected during notifications.

The inspector formally delivered notifications on Monday, October 21, issuing visit orders and documenting the circumstances appropriately. Occupants identified on the property with cadastral code PC-000-001 in Praderas del Ciprés, located along the South Peripheral Road, have been given a five-day period to present any valid claims regarding their occupation.
