Rosarito is all set to host the exciting “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament this March 30th, marking the start of Baja California’s state fishing competition. Held at “Playa El Bebé,” the event promises to attract a strong turnout from anglers across the region. Last year’s tournament saw participation from nearly 150 fishing enthusiasts hailing from both the state and Southern California.
This tournament is a key event on the official calendar of SEPESCA BC and is supported by the administration of Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda. Organized under the guidance of the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association, this year’s competition is being hosted by the TJ Fishing Club, with Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno at the helm.
The tournament is the first of three selective beach fishing competitions. Participants who excel will qualify for the State Championship. The event kicks off at 5:00 AM with angler registration, while the official fishing begins at 7:00 AM. Top performers will earn the opportunity to represent Baja California at the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship on September 19-20 at Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco.
