**Prepare for the Exciting “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament in Rosarito on March 30th**

Rosarito’s scenic “Playa El Bebé” is set to welcome anglers from across Baja California and Southern California for the highly anticipated fishing tournament happening this Sunday, March 30th. The event marks the first round of Baja California’s state fishing competition, expecting to attract a large number of competitors just like the previous year, which saw nearly 150 participants.

This tournament is part of the official fishing calendar by SEPESCA BC and is organized by the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association. It is backed by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda’s administration and is hosted by the TJ Fishing Club, with representatives Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno leading the charge.

Anglers will aim to secure their spots in the State Championship through this competition, which is the first of three selective beach fishing tournaments. The day will kick off with registration at 5:00 AM, followed by the opening of fishing lines at 7:00 AM. The weigh-in station will remain open until 1:00 PM to ensure all lined-up participants have their catches judged.

Winners will be celebrated with various prizes in categories like children’s, women’s, and mojarra, among others. Additionally, attendees can enjoy raffles and local fish-based culinary delights. Anyone interested in participating or seeking further information on registration, costs, rules, or prizes can reach out through the following numbers: 664 493 6014 or 664 339 9173. Victor Hugo Méndez, the head of Sport Fishing at SEPESCA BC, has provided financial support to aid the event’s expenses. Participants can register either on the event day or pre-register at Pesca del Mar Outdoors in Ensenada or at Fishing Crew Store in La Gloria.

Subsequent rounds of the state competition are scheduled for April 27th at Sunset Beach in Ensenada, led by Club Pura Vida, and July 20th at Playa El Pabellón in San Quintín, hosted by Pioleros del Valle de San Quintín. Successful anglers from these events will earn the privilege to represent Baja California at the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship on September 19-20 at Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco.
