**Get Ready for the “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament in Rosarito This March 30th**
Rosarito’s beautiful “Playa El Bebé” is set to host the first round of a highly anticipated fishing competition in Baja California this Sunday, March 30th. Anglers both local and from Southern California are gearing up for this exciting event, which attracted nearly 150 participants last year.
Organized by the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association, the competition is part of the official state fishing calendar supported by the government. This year, the TJ Fishing Club, represented by Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno, will host the tournament.
The tournament begins bright and early with registration at 5:00 AM, followed by the official start of fishing at 7:00 AM. The weigh-in will close at 1:00 PM, ensuring that all participants in line can compete. Exciting prizes will be awarded in several categories, including children’s, women’s, mojarra, and other species. Participants will also enjoy raffles and delicious food prepared with local catches.

The tournament in Rosarito is just the first of three selective beach fishing competitions. The upcoming tournaments will take place on April 27th at Sunset Beach in Ensenada, and July 20th at Playa El Pabellón in San Quintín. Top competitors from these events will qualify to represent Baja California in the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship in Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco, on September 19-20.
