**Get Ready for the “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament in Rosarito on March 30th**
Mark your calendars for an exciting fishing event in Rosarito! The “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament is set to take place on March 30th at Playa El Bebé. This marks the beginning of Baja California’s statewide fishing competition, and it’s expected to draw a crowd of eager fishing enthusiasts from across the region and Southern California.
Organized by the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association and hosted by TJ Fishing Club, this tournament is part of the official calendar of SEPESCA BC, backed by the state’s administration. Notably, this is the first of three beach fishing tournaments that serve as qualifiers for the State Championship.
The day’s schedule kicks off early with registration opening at 5:00 AM, followed by the commencement of fishing activities at 7:00 AM, and concluding the weigh-in at 1:00 PM. Anglers in line by 1:00 PM are eligible to participate up until the weigh-in ends.
Participants have the opportunity to win prizes across various categories including children’s, women’s, mojarra, and various other species. The event promises additional excitement with raffles and delicious local fish dishes.

Looking ahead, the next tournaments in this state series will be held on April 27th at Sunset Beach in Ensenada, hosted by Club Pura Vida, and on July 20th at Playa El Pabellón in San Quintín, managed by Pioleros del Valle de San Quintín. The top performers from these rounds will represent Baja California in the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship on September 19-20 at Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco.
