San Felipe is set to host one of off-road racing’s premier events—the 38th SCORE San Felipe 250—scheduled from April 3 to April 6. With robust backing from the State Government under Governor Marina del Pilar, this race is expected to bring a surge of excitement and a boost to the tourism industry in the region.
As of now, 234 teams from across the globe, including countries such as Argentina, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Mexico, have registered to participate. Registrations are open until April 3, and the number of participants is anticipated to increase.
State Tourism Secretary, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, expressed enthusiasm, noting that “The SCORE San Felipe 250 is more than just a race—it serves as a powerful tourism engine that showcases Baja California internationally. It blends sport, adventure, and the distinct hospitality of our region.”
Competitors have begun familiarizing themselves with the official 250-mile route, which traverses challenging terrain and presents technical obstacles through the San Felipe desert.

– Thursday, April 3: Exclusive qualification for Trophy Trucks.
– Friday, April 4: Official mechanical inspections and festivities including interactions with fans, media, and racers.
– Saturday, April 5: 6:00 a.m. – Motorcycles and Quads commence the challenge; 10:00 a.m. – Four-wheel vehicles start their race.
– Sunday, April 6: Conclusion with an award ceremony celebrating the off-road racing spirit.
