San Felipe is all set to host one of the most thrilling events on the international off-road racing calendar: the 38th SCORE San Felipe 250, scheduled to take place from April 3 to April 6. This highly anticipated event is receiving strong backing from the State Government under Governor Marina del Pilar, promising both an adrenaline-packed race and a significant boost to local tourism.
As of now, 234 teams from countries such as Argentina, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Mexico have registered. With registration still open until April 3, these numbers are expected to rise.
State Tourism Secretary Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez expressed, “The SCORE San Felipe 250 is more than just a race; it’s a tourism engine that elevates Baja California to the world stage, celebrating the fusion of sport, adventure, and our distinctive hospitality.”
Participants have already started getting familiar with the challenging 250-mile route through the San Felipe desert, which promises plenty of technical challenges due to its extreme terrain.
Event Schedule:
– Thursday, April 3: Trophy Trucks participate in an exclusive qualification round.
– Friday, April 4: Official mechanical inspections (Tech & Contingency) begin, accompanied by a meet-up for fans, media, and racers.
– Saturday, April 5: 6:00 a.m. – Motorcycles and Quads take to the track; 10:00 a.m. – Four-wheel vehicles officially start.
– Sunday, April 6: The event concludes with an award ceremony celebrating the spirit of off-road racing.
