### Orchestra to Perform Zelda and Harry Potter Concerts in Tijuana and Mexicali

The renowned 8 Bit Symphony orchestra, known for its captivating video game music performances, is set to feature the iconic pieces from “The Legend of Zelda” and “Harry Potter” in their upcoming concerts in Tijuana and Mexicali. Established in 2017, this orchestra has made a name for itself in blending classical music with the enchanting soundtracks of popular video games, and these final four concerts of 2024 are highly anticipated events in the region.

The quartet, under the banner 4 Bit Quartet, will perform in Tijuana on October 19 at the theater of the IMSS Clinic 7, featuring two performances. The complete orchestra, comprising 90 talented musicians, will then delight audiences in Mexicali at the State Theater on November 10. The concerts feature suites from beloved titles such as “Halo,” “Chrono Trigger,” “Professor Layton,” and “Kingdom Hearts,” alongside other indie gems like “Octopath Traveler.”

According to Yadín Oceguera, the concert coordinator, the repertoire has been carefully curated to offer diversity and excitement. There will even be a surprise suite inspired by Harry Potter, ensuring an enchanting experience for fans of the wizarding world and video game music alike.

Having spent seven years honing their craft, 8 Bit Symphony is venturing into digital ticket sales for the first time. Oceguera highlights the importance of project planning and financing, emphasizing that aspiring artists need to explore new avenues beyond traditional grants.

Initially relying on volunteer efforts, the orchestra has transformed into a professional entity, generating employment while continuing to seek strategic partnerships. This evolution allows more intimate performances like the 4 Bit Quartet to shine, proving that grand productions are not essential for compelling music experiences.

Tickets for the Tijuana concert, held at the IMSS Theater, are priced between 300 and 400 pesos and are available for purchase online. Mexicali attendees can expect ticket prices ranging from 575 to 805 pesos. As an added perk, concert-goers will have the chance to win a Nintendo Switch Lite.
