Xochitl Warns Against Morena Rule

Xóchitl Gálvez urges citizens to act against Morena’s overrepresentation in Congress, warning of potential vote robbery. Join her in a citizen’s legal action for fair representation.

### Xóchitl Calls to Prevent Overrepresentation of Morena and Allies in Union Congress

Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz, former presidential candidate for the PRI, PAN, and PRD, urged citizens on August 5, 2024, to launch a citizen’s legal action to stop the overrepresentation by Morena and its allies – the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM) and the Labor Party (PT) – in the Congress of the Union.

In a video shared across her social media channels, the senator accused Morena, PT, and PVEM of attempting to “steal” about 10 million votes. She emphasized that while these parties secured 54% of the votes in the June 2, 2024 election, they are attempting to claim 75% of the congressional seats, which would enable them to amend the Constitution at will.

“Morena and its allies are trying to rob almost 10 million votes in Congress. In the last election, they got 54% of the votes but want to unfairly seize 75% of the legislative seats,” Gálvez Ruiz stated.

She further explained that this overrepresentation would devalue the votes received by the opposition. “If this overrepresentation is approved, Morena and its allies could change the Constitution as they please. We can’t allow this. I invite you to join me in submitting a citizen’s legal action if this injustice is confirmed in the next 48 hours,” said the senator.

Gálvez Ruiz detailed what a citizen’s legal action entails, encouraging her followers to stay tuned to her social media for further instructions. “The INE (National Electoral Institute) should not place party agreements above individual votes,” she asserted.

“Join me in presenting a citizen’s legal action if they steal our votes in the allocation of congressional seats. Let’s fight this together,” she urged on her social media platform X.
