**Inauguration of “Van Gogh: An Immersive Experience” Exhibition**

The much-anticipated “Van Gogh: An Immersive Experience” exhibition was officially inaugurated on October 11 at the State Art Center Convention Center (CEART) in Mexicali. This cultural institution, under the Baja California Department of Culture, now welcomes art enthusiasts to engage deeply with the works of the legendary Dutch painter.

Previously showcased in cities like Guadalajara, Monterrey, Mérida, Aguascalientes, Puebla, Culiacán, and Mexico City, this exhibition has already captivated audiences in over 30 countries since its inception in 2017. The Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, emphasized during the opening ceremony that such enriching experiences were once only accessible in major cities like New York or Paris. She remarked, “Today, it is available here in Baja California, ensuring that families who cannot afford it are still able to enjoy it completely free of charge.”

The exhibition is heralded for its 360-degree immersive room, offering visitors a unique opportunity to journey through Van Gogh’s masterpieces. This renowned presentation, named the Best Immersive Experience of 2021 by a prominent U.S. publication and listed among the top 12 immersive experiences globally by a major international news network, brings Van Gogh’s art to life with animated projections spanning 45 minutes.

Visitors can explore six different areas including the immersive projection room, displays of Van Gogh’s artwork, insights into his life, a virtual reality experience, an interactive drawing space and workshops, and a merchandise store featuring Van Gogh-inspired items.

Ticket prices for general admission range from 350 pesos during weekdays to 450 pesos on weekends. Tickets with the virtual reality component cost between 450 and 550 pesos. Special rates are available for businesses, and discounted tickets are offered for educational institutions, with prices varying from 200 to 350 pesos.

In an effort to make the exhibition accessible to more people, 10,000 free tickets will be distributed, focusing on priority groups such as public school students, shelters, orphanages, senior homes, and community centers.

Running from October 11, 2024, to January 12, 2025, the exhibition is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased online or at the venue.
